During the initial sessions, I will gather general information about you and your current concerns. This will enable us to identify the issues on which to focus.
Treatment can include open-ended therapy that continues until you feel finished or therapy that lasts for a predetermined length of time. What we decide about how to structure therapy will be our working plan, which can be modified as the need arises. Because collaboration is critically important in the therapeutic relationship, I encourage you to share your ideas and feelings about treatment.
I usually schedule one 50-minute session per week at a time that we agree upon, although some sessions may be longer or more frequent.
